REFRAMING FAMILY MEMORIES
“Reframing Family Memories” is a photographic installation that delves into the profound complexities of memory, identity, and self-discovery. As photographs have played a pivotal role in shaping knowledge and identity for over a century, this project embarks on a journey to explore the evolving relationship we have with the creation, materialization and preservation of memories and personal photographs in our digital age. It is by honoring a disappearing image culture, and by reactivating the poetic power of the material print with the cyanotype that this project and its materials traces of communication about the past allows us to remember, forget, narrate, share, connect and discover.
